Conditions of Sale
Each The Golf Auction auction is conducted under the terms announced with that sale. By registering to bid, in person or online, you accept those terms together with the conditions below.
Bidding
You must be a registered user to bid. By bidding you agree to purchase the lot for your bid amount plus buyer’s premium and any shipping. Bids are final and non-retractable. Lots are sold as-is; catalog descriptions are written carefully but are a guide.
Extended bidding (30-minute rule)
Normal bidding runs until 10:00 PM ET the night the auction closes. At 10:00 PM ET, lots with two or more bids enter extended bidding and each lot closes individually when 30 minutes pass without a new bid; any bid resets that lot’s 30-minute clock.
Buyer’s premium and sales tax
A buyer’s premium of 19.5% is added to the final bid price of each lot. All sales are final; no returns. Sales tax is collected where required based on the buyer’s county and state.
Shipping
Shipping, packing and insurance are added to invoices; no lots ship until payment is received in full. Invoices over $500 ship via FedEx to a physical address with adult-signature insurance. There are no shipping charges for pick-ups.
Payment
Invoices are emailed within three business days and are due within 14 days. We accept cash, check, wire transfer and money order; a credit-card fee applies to card payments.
